How this website currently works

This page describes how the official website currently works. Online payments are not enabled.

Who we are

This website is the official public site of Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple, Rail Bazaar, Alipurduar Junction. It is an information service. It does not yet process payments.

What this site may collect

If you use a contact or E-Seva form, you may share your name, email address, mobile number and any message you choose to write. Gotra, Nakshatra and sankalpam are collected when you provide them. We ask for consent before a form is sent.

How messages are sent

Contact, E-Seva and devotee-experience forms are delivered to the temple administration through a secure server-side email service. If delivery fails, you will see an error and may try again. The website does not collect card, UPI or bank-account details.

What we do not collect

This website does not collect payment-card data, UPI identifiers, bank passwords or copies of identity documents. Do not send such details through the public forms.

Cookies and local storage

The site does not use advertising cookies. A language preference may be stored so the site can remember the language you last chose. A small amount of technical storage may be used by your browser to keep the site working.

How long information is kept

Retention rules for enquiry emails will be set by the administration after legal review. Until then, treat any message you send as correspondence with the temple office.

Your requests

You may write through the contact form to ask what correspondence is held, or to request a correction.

Children

The site is intended for a general audience. Please do not submit personal details of children through the public forms.

Changes

This page will be updated when the temple adopts a fuller legal policy. The wording here describes current practice.
